Knowledge is Power, and at CATCH we firmly believe that the more families know about autism and it’s remediation, the better chance their child has to succeed.
Individualized Parent Education sessions prepare and instruct parents on the core differences of Autism, RDI goals, emotional readiness, learning to become an effective guide and strategies to help their ASD child to become an apprentice. Delivery of the parent education curriculum comes in the form of direct lecture with your consultant. Homework for each parent will be assigned and completed through the family’s online file. Additionally, your consultant will provide in-home, hands-on training to your family in the techniques and practical applications of the RDI® program in an in –home setting. While you are not yet working on formal RDI™ Child Objectives at this stage, your child will be receiving the therapeutic benefits of your training as much of the parent coaching skills you will be learning will be practiced with your children. As you work through the parent education objectives, you will start to implement basic RDI® lifestyle changes that will set the stage for further growth.
